One of the major missions of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Uganda is to be the first point of contact for new American investment into Uganda.  In addition to business networking amoung its members, AmCham Uganda is working to boost the Ugandan economy through information sharing, broader networking, and creating platforms for new partnerships to develop.

AmCham Uganda’s major networking event of 2015 is “Generation AgriPrenuer:  Shaping the Next 25 years of Agribusiness with US Partnerships.”

Generation Agripreneur will bring together all of the key stakeholders in the agriculture value chain. The event will display new technology in inputs, the global standards to enhance the quality of production and processing, the latest in transportation & infrastructure services, and financial services. Linking them all together are the new generation of “Agri-Preneurs,” the entrepreneurs in the agribusiness sector, who create the links between stakeholders and technology to access expanded markets using the resources and tools they will learn about  at this event.

The two day event includes:

Exposition: Over 100 Agribusinesses, Associations, and Service Industry Exhibitors

Summit: Two days of presentations and panels from leaders in the agribusiness industry from Uganda and the US, sharing lessons learned, visions for the future of the industry, and ways to improve your businesses today.

Food Court: Food vendors will provide local, international, and creative cuisine using Uganda’s ample produce to provide options for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks for all attendees.

Attendance is open to the public: 10,000 UGX for students, 20,000 UGX if pre-registered by 14 April, and 30,000 UGX at the event.

Exhibitor space includes one 8 foot table with tablecloth, two chairs, and a blank black backdrop. Double-wide space is available at twice the standard price. Two exhibitor passes per table only, if you need additional staff you must pay the entrance fee of 30,000 per person on the day, or 20,000 per person if pre-registered by 7 April. Heavy Equipment will be allocated outdoor space, and priced according to size required. No selling of fresh fruits and vegetables or livestock inside the exhibition hall.

 

April 7th: Attendance Pre-Registration and payment due

April 15th: Exhibitor Registration Deadline and payment due (US Embassy Clearance deadline). Signup early for best locations.

 

Food Court Vendors will provide breakfast, lunch, snacks/fruits/desserts, and drinks to all conference attendees. Vendors providing taraditional local foods, international, and creative cuisines are all encouraged in order to display the variety that Uganda has to offer.
All vendors must have a KCCA Health Certificate, which can be obtained directly from KCCA.
Interested food vendors must submit an exhibitor registration form, and include a menu and price point in the “notes” section of the registration form.
