Families can see live Hudson River critters up close, learn about local citizen science projects, bird watch, go fishing, experience urban geocaching, learn about the impacts of sea level rise, build hanging planters, test the Hudson’s water quality, watch the filtering power of oysters, make recycled crafts, test gravity, plant seeds, see how NYC’s sewer system works, learn about the secrets of ladybugs, meet local birds of prey, and dance to the Anna Banana Band at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Mike Lawrence is a New York City based comedian who has been featured TBS’ Conan, Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast, Paul Provenza’s Setlist “John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show.” HIs first half-hour stand-up special, “Mike Lawrence: The Half Hour” will debut on Comedy Central this summer. Jared Logan got his start in Chicago and recently relocated to New York City.  Logan has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham”, “John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show,” and weekly on VH1’s “Best Week Ever.”  The winner of the Best Comedian (Chicago Comedy Awards) and Comedy Idol Competition (Detroit) will debut his first half-hour stand-up special “Jared Logan: The Half Hour” this summer Comedy Central. Dan St. Germain is a regular on VH1’s “Best Week Ever” and has performed stand-up on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show,” “The Electric Company,” “WTF with Marc Maron” podcast and as a “New Face” at The Montreal Comedy Festival.  He’s the creator and star of the web series “Kicking Dan Out” featured on My Damn Channel and has his own podcast called “My Dumb Friends” co-hosted by friend and lover Sean Donnelly.  St. Germain will debut his first stand-up special “Dan St. Germain: The Half Hour” this summer on Comedy Central.  His album “Bad at The Good Times” comes out on A Special Thing Records this year. Check out these comics known as the “Dark Lords of Comedy.”

Celebrate the last weekend that the Tompkins Square Park will be open be going for a swim. Make sure you bring a combination lock and swimsuit. Guys, make sure your shorts have a lining! We don’t want a free peepshow. If you like to cover-up, then bring your white tee or hat. Leave the food, glass bottles, electronics, and newspapers at home.
