Held on 5th March 2026 at Kyoga Pool, Sheraton Kampala Hotel, the Annual Women’s Day Forum by American Chamber of Commerce Uganda celebrated International Women's Day under the theme “Women in the Creative Economy: Opportunities and Barriers in the Sector.” The event brought together corporate leaders, innovators, and key stakeholders to explore the evolving role of women in the creative economy, with a strong focus on innovation, markets, eco-tourism, and logistics.
Through engaging discussions, the forum examined emerging opportunities, persistent barriers, and practical strategies to strengthen women’s participation, competitiveness, and sustainable growth within the sector. The programme also featured short documentaries highlighting resilience and leadership, as well as insights from a brief report outlining key challenges and actionable pathways for progress. Attendees also had the opportunity to win an economy class return ticket to Europe, courtesy of Brussels Airlines, adding to an inspiring and engaging celebration of women’s leadership and impact.
